Refund policy

Returns

We accept returns for physical textbooks within 14 days of delivery for EU customers and 14 days for UK customers, in line with consumer protection laws.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • Unused
  • In the same condition as received
  • Free from writing, highlighting, or damage
  • In its original packaging where possible

To start a return, contact us at info@dcodedyslexia.com with your order number and reason for return.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method
  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days
  • Shipping costs are refundable only where legally required (e.g., faulty or misdescribed items)

Damaged, faulty or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, email info@dcodedyslexia.com. Photos help us sort it out quickly, so please include them if you can. We will offer a repair, a replacement or a full refund, including the original delivery charge, and we will cover the cost of the return.

If you tell us within 30 days of delivery, you are entitled to a full refund. After that you still have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland) and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK). Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

Change of Mind Returns

Under EU and UK distance‑selling rules, customers have the right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving it.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs for change‑of‑mind returns
  • Ensuring the item is returned safely (we recommend tracked postage)

We may reduce the refund if the item shows signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect it.

Items Not Eligible for Return

The following cannot be returned:

  • Digital products (e‑books, downloads) once accessed
  • Textbooks that show signs of use, writing, or damage
  • Items returned after the legal return period
  • Sale or clearance items (unless faulty)

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. For exchanges, email info@dcodedyslexia.com.


How to Return an Item

Email info@dcodedyslexia.com with:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • Reason for return

We will provide the return address and instructions.
